Loose tea
Small-flowered Willowherb
Epilobium parviflorum Schreb.
Light and hay-dry, with a thin astringency that arrives late.
In stock 22
Only the small-flowered species is cut, and only the upper third while it is in flower — the large-flowered willowherbs that crowd the same banks are a different drug and are left standing. Dried in shade to keep the leaf grey-green rather than brown.
Traditional use
Traditionally taken by men alongside or instead of nettle root for the same lower urinary complaints, usually as a single evening cup.

Cautions
Read before use
- Difficulty passing water needs a diagnosis before it needs a tea — see a doctor first.
- The tannins can bind other medicines — leave a gap of an hour either side.
