Loose tea
St John's Wort
Hypericum perforatum L.
Green and hay-like, with a resinous bitterness that lingers.
In stock 19
Gathered around the summer solstice, which is where the name comes from. Hold a leaf to the light and you will see the translucent oil glands — the perforatum in the name — and crushing a bud stains the fingers red.
Traditional use
Traditionally taken as a course through the darker months, and infused into oil for external use.
